YouCoachIt, the coaching app you install on your phone
Workouts, nutrition, progress tracking and messages with the coach, in an app that installs on the phone like a real one. It started as one coach's app and became a multi-coach app.

YouCoachIt grew out of the app built for a fitness coach and their clients. It then became a multi-coach app: each coach follows their clients, each client has their own plan.
It is not our core market, which remains construction, supply chain and restaurant businesses. But the mechanics are the same: data coming in every day, and one person who needs to know, at a glance, who needs them.
1. An app that installs like a real one
The app is added to the phone's home screen without going through an app store, and opens full screen like any other app.
The first launch asks seven questions, one per screen, and works out calorie needs and the macronutrient split from the answers.
2. Workouts
873 exercises, workouts filtered by the sports each client plays, and progress tracked session after session.
3. Nutrition
A meal is logged by taking a photo of it, describing it in one sentence, or entering it by hand, with a search across 2,298 foods from the nutritional composition table of Anses, the French food safety agency.
Logging your weight takes two taps. That is deliberate: what takes time doesn't get done.
4. The coach and their clients
Coaches find their clients, their meal plans and workouts, and their own calendar, and message clients inside the app instead of in a separate messaging app.
Each client sees only their own data: the rule is set in the database itself, table by table, not just in the screens.
5. What the project taught us
Everything the app sets for the user has to feel right on day one. The needs calculations are written as functions tested one by one, because a wrong number at the start loses the user's trust for good.
